I´m Lasse, I am a photographer and videographer based in Düsseldorf, Germany. I am specialized in people photography, photo and video reportage as well as music-video production.
What are five words which either describe you, or are important to you?
I’m openminded, kind, adventurous and creative. Things that are important to me: Just create, what you love. Live out your passion and always try something new.
How does creating your art, shape your day to day life? Is there anything you pay more attention to since making art?
I always look for new inspiration in my daily life, when I’m walking around watching different people and their behaviour. But I’m also paying attention to architecture, buildings, landscapes etc.
These impressions often bring new ideas or inspiration for my work.
What do you love most about creating art?
I love the creative process from an idea to the final result. Also that I’m always working with different people.
In many cases, especially when I do free projects, I’m able to do what I like, learn new things and improve my skills from day to day.
Do you have a cure for feeling ‘uninspired’?
I think every artist has experienced being uninspired, including me. Personally, it is definitely helpful to just take a break and keep distance from work for a bit.
What has creating your own art taught you?
Definitely more courage, because especially in the beginning, you have to work really hard, so that everybody in your environment knows what you do.
For me it was an important move to step up to people, building my network and saying I want to work with you.
What is your recipe for success for the perfect atmosphere on set?
The most important thing for me is a positive, relaxed and creative atmosphere on set. Everybody needs to feel comfortable to get a great result.
Communication is key as well. Not only for giving directions, but also for keeping alive the personal connection in the whole team.
