My aunt Francois was told by her hospital in DC to go home and not to come back unless she’s so out of breath that she can’t speak. Her response was “so you’re telling me to come back when I’m dying”. They had no contradictions.

My mother began training with residents (doctors who are being trained to treat patients) today. They don’t have as much experience working with patients as Nurse Practioners do however hospitals need all the help they can get.

My mom comes home exhausted every night at 6:30, goes to bed at 9 and is too tired to even eat dinner. I worry for her health; I remind myself frequently that she is helping those who can’t help themselves and that this is a result of it. Selflessness is key.

My mother is sick again with a cough and chest congestion for the 2nd time. The CDC is making regulations for sick providers so loose because there aren’t enough doctors to treat sick victims.
Her colleagues are very stressed and most people go to work slightly sick.
It’s 3 am on Saturday the 11th and my mom has diarrhea and has been throwing up for the past hour. I am worried that she has been infected. Due to me being the healthiest in my household I will have to take responsibility for cleaning and cooking which is what I am willing to do. I am looking forward to this pandemic being over.
