The painting depicts a masked cyclops cradling a blue goat encircled in a pool of blood around a spiraling cloud.
The painting pays homage to the wounds and traumas of gender and alienation that are specific to the ways in which I was raised in a Muslim household. In the depiction of the pains that reared me, beauty is sustained vis-a-vis recognizing wounds for what they are. Ultimately serving as a metaphor for my mental health and making peace with my past.
