It is believed that God manifest himself in temples for the sake of his devotees. Temple is a place where people believe that God exists, it becomes easy for devotees to concentrate in worshipping god in temples. Some temples attract large numbers of devotees ,and miracles of those temples are widely talk about, Devotees takes all kinds of trouble to go to such distance places. The believer sees god in everything and so he has no difficulty seeing god in idols in temples. Here a small story of Temple in my village which was under construction, one idol was damaged by workers hand while supplanting, and it was futile. In my painting I'd try to pictures that once the idol which was worshipped and taken care by many devotees now it has no virtue, it is just a stone...as how we throw useless things in dustbin.
